Storytelling is a well-known buzzword in contemporary marketing, generally referring to communicating a particular message or attitude. But what if there could be more? What if your company could actually become a story?
At Chapter 1 we use the term 'mythologize' to describe our method of brand storytelling design. Mythologizing a brand means going beyond what you do, how you do it and the history of how you started. It means poetically transforming your brand into a personality, a mission, an attitude or a place in time. It's what makes the 'Captain' in Captain Morgan and 'McDonaldland' for McDonalds. Mythologizing your brand does more than make a compelling, lovable brand, it also allows you to do more in the way of promotional contests, games, social media personalities and video or web commercial series.
